Our latest review: Stayed April 2025 *****
I would like to submit a review of 5 Brunswick Court. I stayed there for three weeks and could easily have stayed longer. It was one of the nicest places I have stayed at in Cowes, and I have been coming to Cowes for years. It was so comfortable and well equipped that it really felt like home. There was nothing lacking at all, from wine glasses to coffee mugs and tea cups, ample cutlery, dishes, pots and pans, and even a wok for a stir fry. In fact I really haven’t seen a holiday home with so much to make one’s stay so relaxing and enjoyable. I was impressed with the great washing machine, the huge dishwasher, and a good sized refrigerator, not to mention a good supply of dish washing detergent and laundry detergent. The king sized bed was incredibly comfortable as was the single bed in the second bedroom where my cousin stayed. The large walk in shower was more than adequate.
The best part by far, though , was the absolutely amazing view of the harbour. Sitting on the balcony in the morning with my coffee watching all the activities was one of my favorite things. I could have sat there all day. There were even binoculars and a telescope to get a closer look. Location wise it was perfect. The floating bridge to East Cowes was only a few minutes away, and Sainsbury’s, M &S, the bus stops, and the red jet ferry were only about 7 minutes in the other direction. I liked the fact that it was a little quieter than the other end of Cowes, but was still centrally located. I could watch for the floating bridge to be arriving in West Cowes before going out at exactly the right time to catch it. In addition, the Duke of York had great food and was just around the corner. Although I didn’t have a car, there was a dedicated parking spot for those who drive to the Island.
I cannot emphasize enough that I felt completely at home in the flat and look forward to staying there again next year.
